Give your baked goods a nutritional boost with this fibre-rich brown bread flour from Eureka. All of Eureka’s hearty flours are farmed in naturally enriched soil, and stone ground using a slower-grinding mill, so they’re packed with natural goodness. If you’re looking for a healthier option to ordinary white flour, Eureka’s unbleached brown flour is the winner. You can use it to bake deliciously nourishing breads, cakes and pizza bases. With added bran, this flour is higher in fibre, vitamins B6 and E, magnesium, zinc, folic acid and chromium; that means it’s great for your heart and digestion too.

  • Can be used in all yeast baked goods; gives you a high rise & medium-fine crumb

Store in an airtight container and use by Best Before date.

Recipe for Eureka Brown Bread:
Ingredients:

  • 5cups (785g) Eureka Brown Bread Flour
  • 40ml vegetable oil
  • 15ml Sugar
  • 10g instant yeast
  • 15ml vinegar
  • 500ml warm water
  • 350ml milk
  • 10ml Salt

Method:

  • Mix the Sugar & yeast together in the warm water and leave for approx. 5 minutes
  • Mix in the milk, oil & vinegar
  • Add the mixture to the flour & Salt, using a wooden spoon
  • Pre-heat oven to 200°C
  • Pour the dough into a greased bread tin, approx. half-full
  • Leave dough in a warm place to rise for 30-60 minutes (until doubled in size)
  • Bake for 40-50 minutes; leave to cool before serving

Eureka Mills has the best GMO and preservative free flour. We are sensitive to preservatives. We bake our own bread weekly with this flour and cakes and apple pie with the cake flour. Will always buy this brand the flour is fresh and never flops.

This flour is the closest I can get to making my own self-grown and freshly stone-milled flour. I have almost no issues with inflammation/digestive upsets when using this flour, where I ALWAYS have if using GM bleached flour. Pasta, bread, muffins and pies are on the menu to stay!

I purchased the Eureka brown bread flour from you guys, but I am rather disappointed at the taste and texture, its very much clumpier compared to the Champagne Valley Stone Mills brown bread flour and it is sort of greasy/oily, and the main problem is that is has a terribly bitterish after taste. I made bread, naan and roti with it , all had the awfully bitterish after taste.
