However, my most recent purchase of dried thyme was a sad disappointment. I added it to my chicken noodle soup, and waited for the lovely thyme smell to waft through the kitchen. Nothing! I added some more and hoped for the best. No joy. It was as though I hadn added any herbs at all. In the end I had to resort to fresh thyme from the garden :(
