14/05/2024, By BevGreat to add to gluten free baking as it helps to bind the flour.14/02/2024, By NolanBeware! Not the real thing!
When psyllium husk comes in contact with water, it swells and forms a gelatin-like-mass that helps transport waste through the intestinal tract.
With this product, you will notice a small amount of gelatin when added to water but it is way less than it should be. I had to use up to 4 teaspoons twice a day for it to start to make a difference.
Other products (e.g. the one from NOW foods) are significantly better and a single teaspoon twice a day works.
I went for this product since it is cheap - I regret it and have switched back to the NOW foods brand which is much better and actually works.16/01/2024, By marleneRead the reviews, can't wait to use product20/01/2022, By MoniqueI tried the psyllium husk & bentonite clay gut cleanse drink but my tum didn't seem to like it, felt uncomfortable / bloated / full. I don't like mixing it in water because it becomes rather gooey, so I eat the husks plain and drink water to take it down.17/07/2020, By MonicaGood quality product! Great product!23/03/2018, By CarinaGreat as extra fibre in flapjacks and smoothies. Also a necessity in most low carb/gluten free baking. Great product!08/01/2018, By SarahCant be without this product. Use it for cooking and baking.26/09/2017, By JSAlways great to have on hand in your pantry for those gluten free breads and pastry recipes. Also makes a good back-up breakfast, if you're needing extra fibre.16/03/2016, By AshleighNot for everyone, but I add two teaspoons to one meal each day. Great source of fibre and helps thicken soups or curries to a gravy like texture if necessary. Tasteless, but does change texture of food as the husks swell.
