An Introduction to Ayurveda
Simply put, Ayurveda is a “science of life” that originated in India over 5000 years ago. The word comes from the Sanskrit āyus (life), and veda (sacred knowledge). Ayurvedic healing is based on the principle that all people posess a unique mix of three mind/body principles, known as Doshas. These Doshas determine the specific mental and physical characteristics of each person.
The three Doshas are known as Vata, Pitta and Kapha. To learn about your dominant Dosha(s), take the Dosha quiz, and then check out our blog on caring for your Dosha type.
Once you know more about your Dosha, and what your skin and hair type need to thrive, you’ll be able to choose the most beneficial products to suit your needs.
