Introducing this mouthwatering gluten-free and vegan burger created by Georgia Roux (A Bite of Vegan). With this easy-to-follow recipe, you can craft your very own gluten-free burger buns, prepare delectable vegan burger patties, and add all your favourite delicious fillings. Get ready to experience a burger feast like no other!
Makes: 6 burger buns and patties
Ingredients:
1 packet of gluten-free white bread flour
10g of instant yeast
2 tbsp of olive oil
2 tbsp of sugar
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups of warm water
2 tbsp almond milk
Sprinkle of sesame seeds
Pack of Outcast Burger Mix
Sprinkle of El Burro Chipotle & Lime Salt
Pinch of pepper
Pinch of paprika
Your desired amount of vegan mayo
Lettuce
Avos
Tomato
Your desired amount of onion & orange marmalade
Homemade crunchy slaw.
How to make the buns:
- Combine 1 packet of gluten-free white bread flour with 10g of instant yeast, 2 tbsp of sugar, 2 tbsp of olive oil, a pinch of salt and 1 1/2 cups of warm water.
- Mix until combined and then knead for 5-10 minutes. Allow to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Once risen, split into 6 balls and place on a baking tray.
- Cover with a towel and allow to rise for another 45 minutes. Then brush with some almond milk, top with sesame seeds and bake at 200°c for 15 minutes.
How to assemble the burgers:
- Make your Outcast Burger Mix according to packet instructions.
- Make your guacamole by mashing avo together with El Burro Chipotle & Lime Salt, pepper and paprika.
- Get your burger layered up with vegan mayo, lettuce, tomato, guac, onion & orange marmalade and some crunchy slaw.
- Enjoy!
